So Aly was watching Nick Jr. one day (actually it is everyday, but what do you do!?) and she saw them making Dora cupcakes. She wanted to do it really bad. So I went on Nick Jr.'s website and saw they had a Ni Hao Kai-lan recipe too. Since Aly likes Kai-lan better than she likes Dora, I told her about them, so she wanted to do them instead. So today, we went to Wal-mart to get all the stuff to make them. I thought it would be fun to do a project with her. It is better than having her watch TV all day.
Here she is frosting her cupcake. She did a good job too!

Here she is with the first cupcake that was done. It is Kai-lan......I promise it looked better on the website! It doesn't really look like Kai-lan, but oh well!

This is about where Aly stopped being interested, so I had to finish the rest of them by myself. I didn't think it would take so long (from start to finish, it was about 3 hours for all of them!!!) So she was tired of doing them before we even finished Kai-lan! :)
Here is Rintoo. Again, it looked better on the website, but I also think my version looks a little better than my Kai-lan does! LOL

Then we made Tolee. This is the one that I think turned out the best. It actually looks kind of like him!

Last was Hoho. I think it turned out totally dorky, but Aly liked it, so that's all that matters.

Here are all of them together.

Aly thought they looked yummy! She was ready to eat them before they were even done!

She is trying to sneak a bite! LOL

Here are all 24 of them. I have never spent so much time frosting cupcakes!

Brianna had other arrangements while we were making cupcakes! She had already made plans with her crib. LOL So she napped the whole time, which is actually okay because I have a feeling it would have taken longer if she was awake. Either that or I would have had a disaster of a house to clean up after!

But, she did enjoy the frosting when she woke up! She is NEVER too tired when it comes to eating! LOL (It was actually a bigger mess than this picture looks. The frosting was in her hair, all over her clothes, and on her legs!)

I had a blast doing this with Aly, even though it was mostly me at the end! I love spending time with my girls! They are the best girls in the world! It is so fun to spend Mommy-daughter time with them!
