Feeding the ducks.....or was it the fish?!?

So today, we took the girls to feed the ducks in Springville. The only problem was, we didn't go until about 5pm and I think the ducks had been fed ALL day becuase when we got there, they weren't eating very well. But we had fun anyway. At first, Brianna just thought I was giving her the bread to eat it. She wouldn't throw it, even when I showed her what to do, but after a while of seeing Aly do it, she finally figured it out. She would break off peices and pretty much just drop them. So by the time we were finished, there was a big pile of bread right under our feet! Then Brianna tried to just hand it to the ducks. When she is handing something to someone, she holds it out and kind of grunts, like "uh, uh, uh" So she was doing the same thing to the ducks.Like I said before, the ducks didn't seem too hungry, so when we threw the bread out and the ducks didn't take it, the fish would come up and grab it. There were a ton of fish. It was funny to see them all fighting for it. I tried to get a picture, but they wouldn't really stay at the surface very long, so this is the best I got.

Miracles DO Happen!

So my sweetheart of a husband, sent flowers to my work for our anniversary this year! I was so excited! I wasn't really expecting anything because we had planned a trip to St. George for our anniversary and had said that was all we were doing, no presents. So when I went to work that day, the last thing I expected to see sitting on my desk was flowers. (I had mentioned to Joe a while back that I missed the days when he used to give me flowers all the time, apparently he was listening!) This may sound lame, but I was so happy and surprised, that I actually started crying when I saw them! I was telling some girls I work with that if only guys knew how LITTLE they had to do to impress girls, they would be doing little things all the time! Just a small bouquet of roses was enough to make my whole day better, maybe even the whole week!!

I cannot believe it has already been 5 years! It has flown by and I have had such a good time! I cannot wait to see what the next 5 years bring!

Relaxing in the sun

We went to St. George for the weekend. It was an anniversary/Mother's Day trip. We had a lot of fun relaxing and getting some sun. We mainly just did relaxing things, not really anything big.
The girls actually did really well in the car. I was kind of nervous taking them on a 4-5 hour drive, but they both did great.
Aly had fun chilling in the car! Brianna had fun sleeping in the car! Saturday we went into Las Vegas for a few hours. We took the girls to M&M World. Aly loved it! She was all over the place, picking up things that she just HAD to have. She thought it was the greatest! Brianna was just chilling! She had fun too.
After M&M World, we went to the Coca-Cola Factory next door. Aly got an 8 ounce Coke to herself. She was flying off the walls by the time she finished it. Obviously a 3-year-old should not have that much caffeine, but she thought it was great. She especially loved that it was in a glass bottle! We went to the MGM and saw the lions. The girls loved it. Here is Brianna just enjoying life as always! She is the happiest baby in the world!
We went to Snow Canyon and went on a walk and played in the sand dunes. Luckily it wasn't hot enough to make the sand scorching. Aly was building castles in the sand and Brianna was adding sand to the list of foods she has tried!
We went swimming a couple times. Both of the girls LOVED it, and Joe and I loved it as well. It was nice to cool off after a hot day in the sun!

We spent a lot of time at the park. The girls had fun swinging and going on the slides. (And so did I!!! LOL)
Here is me and Brianna on the swing.
Now Brianna is doing it by herself.
Aly had fun on the swings too!
Daddy and Brianna having fun at the park.
Aly just loving the slide!
We had so much fun! It was sad coming home to the cold! We were definitely not there long enough. I guess now we just get to look forward to Disneyland in July!
